Adventure is a steel gaff rigged schooner based in Galesville, MD and has been owned by Dick and Leigh Woodling.
Adventure is sailing virtually this year to support The Maryland Food Bank. In a year as challenging as 2020, the Food Bank is going above and beyond to help people feed their families.
- From March through August 2020, the Food Bank distributed more than 31.4 million pounds of food vs. 15.9 million pounds during the same period in 2019, a 97% increase over last year.
- Maryland Food Bank is also spending more money than ever before to purchase food, having seen a 414% increase in the amount of money spent ($13.7 million vs. $2.7M) between March and August.
"...we're going to need the support of Maryland residents, businesses, and government to help us feed increasing numbers of individuals and families facing hunger statewide."
-- Carmen Del Guercio, President & CEO, Maryland Food Bank

We can help. These are our families. These are the children and families who depend on the Bay for their livelihoods. These are the children who are going to be taking care of our Bay in the future. They should not have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Maryland Food Bank is trying to change that. Team Adventure asks for your donations to help our MD families.
Thank you for your help and support!
